Oral Surgery Assistant Jobs in Alabama
Aid oral surgeons as required during and surrounding the time of treatment. Oral surgery assistants are typically responsible for directly supporting surgeons to ensure that procedures run smoothly. They sterilize instruments, administer topical anesthetics, and manage equipment such as suction hoses to keep the patient’s mouth dry and workable. They also provide education on proper dental care before and after the procedure.
Oral surgery assistants may additionally be responsible for office tasks, such as scheduling appointments and arranging billing/payment. Because many of their duties involve interaction with oral surgeons and patients, they need to have strong interpersonal skills.
