Oral Surgeon Jobs in Idaho

Diagnose and surgically resolve medical problems in oral tissue. Oral surgeons perform both functional and aesthetic procedures, including dental implant installation, impacted tooth extraction, and reconstructive work for accident victims. As one of the nine dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA), this career requires significant expertise encompassing diseases, injuries, and defects affecting hard and soft oral tissues. Many professionals in this field also perform maxillofacial surgeries.

Oral surgeons usually work in outpatient clinics or hospitals, although some establish their own private practices. They typically work long hours, as operations can span long periods of time. Additionally, surgeons in hospital and clinic environments may be required to be on call in case of emergency.
