Job Summary:

Dr. Reid, our team, and our patients are in search of a highly motivated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our practice. With our practice expanding, the need for two hygienists is evident. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing care to established patients for recalls and new patients. We seek a hygienist who excels in communication and values building long-term patient relationships. Responsibilities include scaling and root planning, gingivitis treatment, and prophylaxis for both children and adults. This role requires a strong grasp of infection control protocols, patient assessment, and effective teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive understanding of periodontal disease and diagnosis
• Collaboration with Dr. Reid for optimal patient care
• Thorough provision of dental hygiene services for all age groups
• Evaluation of patients' oral health and provision of oral hygiene education
• Meticulous maintenance of hygiene records using Eaglesoft software
• Implementation of infection control procedures for patient and staff safety
• Team collaboration to enhance patient care and office efficiency
• Stay informed on the latest dental technologies and practices for improved patient outcomes

You will have a shared hygiene assistant, but may also be required to independently perform tasks such as operatory cleaning, instrument sterilization, digital x-rays, vital sign monitoring, and perio probe charting.

• Negotiable compensation: hourly pay 
  • Hourly rate: starting at $39-47 (based on experience, certification, and training needs)
  • Base daily pay rate for the first 6 months to accommodate schedule building
• Flexible hours within a range of 16-24 hours weekly

Requirements

• Valid state license as a Dental Hygienist
• Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and education
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently
• Familiarity with infection control protocols and best practices
• Completion of yearly continuing education courses as requested by Dr. Reid
