We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a dental practice. This role is ideal for a strong people leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient experiences, developing high-performing teams, and driving business success.

Working in partnership with a Director of Operations and Area Clinical Director , the Business Manager is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, fostering a positive and collaborative culture, and supporting the overall growth and performance of the practice.

What You'll Do Practice Operations & Patient Experience
  • Create and maintain an office environment focused on exceptional patient care, service, and satisfaction.
  • Oversee daily practice operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and a seamless patient experience.
  • Monitor patient flow throughout the day and proactively make adjustments to support providers and team members.
  • Conduct daily team huddles and facilitate effective communication across the practice.
  • Address patient concerns and complaints promptly, professionally, and compassionately, including escalated situations.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop non-clinical team members.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture.
  • Manage employee schedules, monitor hours, and approve timecards.
  • Ensure compliance with all required licensing, certifications, and training requirements.
  • Partner with Human Resources to address employee relations matters, performance management, retention, and staffing needs.
Financial & Business Performance
  • Review practice production and performance reports to identify opportunities for growth and operational improvement.
  • Drive achievement of monthly production, collection, and profitability goals.
  • Manage office bookkeeping, invoice processing, payroll preparation, cash controls, and administrative functions.
  • Collect patient payments and ensure adherence to company cash handling policies.
  • Communicate practice performance metrics and goals with the team to promote accountability and engagement.
Front Office Support
  • Serve as a resource and backup for front office operations when needed, including:
    • Scheduling and confirming appointments
    • Answering patient inquiries
    • Presenting treatment plans
    • Submitting accurate insurance claims
    • Collecting patient balances
Compliance & Administrative Excellence
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of practice management software and reporting systems.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on accepted insurance plans, coverage limitations, and exclusions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, state dental regulations, and all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
  • Promote a safe and compliant workplace environment.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the practice and organization.
Compensation

$28.00 – $35.00 per hour

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a performance-based bonus plan with annual target earnings of $5,000 .

Qualifications Required
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems.
Preferred
  • Previous dental, healthcare, or multi-unit service industry management experience.
  • Experience with Denticon, QSI, or similar practice management software.
