Location: Conroe, Texas 77304Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
About This OpportunityJoin our dynamic dental practice as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. In this position, you'll work alongside talented dentists and hygienists to create a seamless, efficient patient experience. From chairside support to patient education, you'll be at the heart of our practice, helping patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles while ensuring smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists and dental hygienists during procedures and examinationsMaintain efficient patient flow and doctor schedules to minimize wait times and optimize practice productivityExpose and process diagnostic radiographs with precision and accuracyReview and verify patient medical and dental histories, document vital signs, and record important health information in patient chartsSterilize instruments and equipment following each patient visit and maintain a clean, organized treatment room and sterilization areaAssist with treatment planning, document clinical findings, record treatment in patient records, and obtain necessary treatment consentsEducate patients on oral hygiene best practices and post-operative care instructions as prescribed by the dentistApply fluoride protective coatings and assist hygienists with polishing procedures for pediatric patients under age 10Fabricate temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressionsPerform routine weekly and monthly equipment maintenance tasks, including waterline management and trap changesCommunicate inventory needs to the lead assistant or manager and maintain well-stocked treatment rooms while minimizing wasteManage lab case documentation, track outgoing cases, monitor delivery dates, and coordinate with the schedule for upcoming delivery appointmentsUphold infection control policies and protocols to protect the health and safety of patients and team members
Required Qualifications
Active Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) LicenseCurrent CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certificationBilingual proficiency in English and SpanishMinimum 1 year of professional experience as a Dental AssistantStrong attention to detail and commitment to infection control standardsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Preferred Qualifications
Nitrous oxide sedation monitoring certificationProphylaxis (prophy) certificationDental sealant application certificationExperience in a multi-doctor practice setting
