This position provides chair-side dental assistance to faculty and residents in the AEGD Clinic for dental procedures. This individual will also fill out and update pertinent patient information in the correct charts/systems. Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED 2 years experience performing chair side dental assistance. Equivalency/Substitution: Possession of a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential may be substituted for1 year of dental assisting experience Required Certifications and Licenses: Current Oklahoma Dental Assistant Permit or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire Current CPR Certification Required to have 2 of the 4 Certifications from Oklahoma Board of Dentistry: Radiation Protection and Safety Coronal Polishing and Topical Fluoride Placement of Pit and Fissure Sealants Assisting in the Administration of Nitrous Oxide Hiring Contingent Upon a Background Check: Yes
