Registered Dental Hygienist

Registered Dental Hygienist needed for our well established, family oriented, modern dental practice located in Hopewell Junction, NY. We provide a full range of general dental care for patients with emphasis on fixed prosthetics, removable prosthetics, and implant restorations.

Currently, there is a part-time or full-time position available. Our office is opened Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and 1 or 2 Saturdays per month from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The salary range is $55.00 per hour or higher, depending on experience.

Job skills and responsibilities include:

• Taking x-rays and familiarity with Dexis imaging
• Applying sealants
• Patient screening procedures; such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection
• Removing calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surface of the teeth
• Applying preventive materials to the the teeth
• Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
• Counseling patients about good nutrition and it's impact on oral health
