Process Technician

A Process Technician is needed for a Process Technology client to support the operation of their chemical process plant in Rome, NY. This temp-to-direct role requires experience in a production or process plant environment, with a preference for candidates with Control Room Operator experience.

Qualified candidates will have 1+ years of experience in a commercial production setting, ideally in chemical processes, and must possess troubleshooting skills to minimize plant downtime. Prior Control Room operating or monitoring experience is strongly preferred. This is a night shift position.

responsibilities:

• Prepare equipment for maintenance and contribute to safety initiatives
  
  
• Update existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and create new SOPs as needed
  
  
• Participate in daily toolbox safety meetings and propose improvements
  
  
• Develop expertise in plant operations and train new employees
  
  
• Operate a specialty process plant, ensuring the safe handling of high-temperature and high-pressure processes.
