Lead Dental Assistant

We’re seeking a Lead Dental Assistant who brings energy, expertise, and initiative to our clinical team. The right candidate is a dental rockstar, someone who is proactive, dependable, and driven to provide the best patient care possible while helping streamline and strengthen clinical operations.

You’ll not only assist in procedures but also play a vital role in lab case management, documentation, X-ray compliance, and ensuring the team is ready for each patient before they even walk through the door.

Schedule: Full-Time
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Alternating Fridays: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with a full range of procedures, including dental implants, wisdom teeth extractions, restoratives, and surgical cases

• Anticipate procedural needs, have rooms, instruments, and materials prepared without needing direction

• Fabricate temporary crowns and support prosthetic workflows

• Track lab cases, manage case timelines, coordinate with labs, and follow up

• Ensure accurate clinical notes are completed by the end of each day

• Confirm X-rays are taken correctly for each appointment to reduce insurance denials

• Collaborate closely with your dentist and team to keep a smooth and efficient schedule

• Train and mentor other assistants and support a cohesive team culture

• Support inventory management, room turnover, sterilization, and best practices

• Provide a high level of professionalism, communication, and patient-focused care

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of experience in dental assisting (lead/senior-level preferred)

• Proven ability to take initiative and work independently in a fast-paced setting

• Passion for patient care and dentistry; someone who’s genuinely driven and invested

• Strong organizational skills with a focus on case tracking and follow-through

• Commitment to clinical documentation and compliance

• Knowledge of dental insurance needs (e.g., X-ray documentation)

• Bonus if experienced with Fuse or Open Dental software

• Proactive team player with excellent communication and leadership skills
