Sterilization and Laboratory Technician

Are you detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced dental environment? We're seeking a part-time (2-3 days/week with flexible hours) Sterilization & Laboratory Technician to play a crucial role in printing and preparing dental lab cases utilizing our 3D printer. As an integral part of our practice, you'll ensure the operation, maintenance, and supply of equipment necessary for printing lab cases.

Key Responsibilities:
Laboratory:
Assist in tracking and managing lab cases for the entire office
Coordinate case check-ins and mark accordingly in the software
Evaluate quality of cases and communicate with labs as needed
Fabricate oral appliances/models
Schedule and coordinate maintenance of clinical equipment
Manage service calls and equipment repairs
Propose new equipment purchases and oversee maintenance tasks
Sterilization:
Maintain sterilization processes including testing as needed
Prepare hygiene and assistant trays as needed
Train new clinical hires in sterilization procedures as needed
Monitor and educate staff on infection control practices as needed
Other Responsibilities:
Track, order, and purchase dental supplies
Assist clinical staff as needed during treatment appointments
Set up/break down and sterilize operatories as needed
Follow and demonstrate commitment to Spoonwood Dental policies and protocols
Manage clinical email correspondence
Research and order new products/supplies requested by clinical staff as needed
Qualifications:
2 years previous experience in the dental field preferred, but on-the-job training provided
Knowledge of dental and medical terminology
Ability to adapt to various situations and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong computer and analytical skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, type, and see
Frequently required to walk and occasionally stand
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
