Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team in providing exceptional patient care in a friendly and professional environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene, A strong understanding of aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations is essential for maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.

Duties

• Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations, ensuring optimal oral health for patients.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
• Document patient care accurately, including treatment plans and progress notes, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist the dentist with various procedures as needed, demonstrating knowledge of anatomy and general dentistry practices.
• Provide care to diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout their visit.
• Review documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to submission to insurance providers or patient records.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the dental clinic to promote a welcoming atmosphere for patients.

Requirements

• Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
• Experience working in a dental office setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, HIPAA regulations, and patient care protocols.
• Familiarity with general dentistry practices and pediatric dental care is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for documentation review and record keeping.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dental team while demonstrating professionalism at all times.
