Requirements
- Welcome patients for their appointments, ensuring a lasting positive impression.
- Manage the patient's check in seamlessly by scheduling their next recare visit, collecting a residual balance and obtaining necessary financial and personal details to enter directly into their chart.
- Upon patient checkout, present treatment and fees with confidence ensuring the patient has a clear understanding and leaves with their next appointment scheduled; provide relevant after visit summaries or other documents like treatment plans, receipts, school excuse notes or appointment reminder cards.
- Partner with the practice manager and clinical staff daily to ensure work tasks are optimized for the daily workflow, including but not limited to appointments, confirmations, amendments, cancellations, referral letters, treatment coordination or other patient correspondence.
- Manage the appointment schedule by ensuring the day is optimized with aligning the right treatment types to meet daily goals.
- Answer the telephone promptly and courteously, inquiring about their needs and how the office can meet those needs.
- Partner with practice manager to ensure clinic is fully compliant with state and federal health regulations and compliance programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
- Minimum of 3 years of dental front office experience
- Experience with scheduling software systems, and Microsoft Office, clinical background and experience with dental software programs considered an asset
- An Associates degree in business or office administration preferred, however not required
- Solid business acumen and effective written and verbal communication skills
