Dentist - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

We are seeking a skilled Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Ohio. This 48-day assignment offers a Tuesday to Friday schedule, with potential for Mondays, starting on date 06/03/2025. The schedule includes clinic hours from 8 AM to 5 PM with OR hours from 7:30 AM to 4 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing consultations, simple and surgical extractions, full mouth extractions under sedation, and working with special needs patients. Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Conduct patient consultations for oral and maxillofacial procedures

Perform simple and surgical extractions

Execute full mouth extractions under sedation

Provide care for special needs patients

Work in both clinical and operating room settings

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care

Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Epic EHR system

Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures

Participate in case reviews and quality improvement initiatives as needed

Additional Information:

Ohio state dental license required

Board certification in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery preferred

Recent operating room experience is mandatory

Experience with Epic EHR system is beneficial
