Non-Profit Community Clinic has current openings for a DENTAL RECEPTIONIST located in Auburn and Grass Valley, CA clinic.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Our Dental Receptionist will play an important roll in providing front line customer service for our patients and visitors. Additionally, they will perform various clerical duties pertaining to the dental department while maintaining a positive, friendly rapport with patients.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School graduate or GED equivalent.
2. Front or Back Dental office experience.
3. Ability to operate multi-line phone system.
4. Excellent customer service skills.
5. Computer literate.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Receive all patients and visitors.
2. Receive incoming telephone calls.
3. Perform clerical functions pertaining to the dental program.
4. Prepare schedules each day.
5. Obtain verification of Indian heritage and income, photocopy information and file in patient charts for permanent records.
6. Receive dental lab bills, determine the payment portion for the patient and record appropriately.
7. Collect and prepare for data, billing and pharmacy purposes; pink procedural code sheets, superbills, VCN's, etc.
8. Confirm appointments for following day patients.
9. Maintain recall system.
10. Send broken appointment letters in compliance with policies.
11. Collect payments from patients for services.
12. Coordinate daily patient flow, triage of walk-ins, patient emergencies, records flow, laboratory, and referral services.
13. Communicate with private providers in the community to coordinate dental care and ensure continuity.
14. Track all in-house and outside patient referrals.
15. Review patient records on a daily basis for charting accuracy and ADA coding.
16. Maintain patient waiting list.
17. Insure appropriate treatment planning according to each patient's eligibility and payment source.
18. May assist back office staff in discussing treatment options.
19. Discuss and arrange fees and payment schedules with patients.
20. Perform all other duties as assigned.
