Job Description

The role

The Dental Hygienist (DH) is at the forefront of customer care and service within our model at dntl bar. They are the core clinical provider for our primary services. The DH will deliver the highest quality of care, exhibit leadership, and embody the culture of teamwork within the office. This position is based at dntl bar's Chelsea office and reports to the Store Manager.

Essential functions/responsibilities

  • Perform duties within the scope of practice of an RDH, including but not limited to performing dental hygiene screenings and cleanings
  • Input and maintain up-to-date documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) and manage customer medical history records
  • Perform examinations of mouth, teeth, gums, and related facial structures and treat dental problems/diseases as needed
  • Maintain/sterilize medical equipment and/or instruments
  • Operate diagnostic and/or therapeutic medical instruments or equipment
  • Process x-rays and/or other medical images
  • Provide health and wellness guidance to customers, program participants and/or caregivers
  • Help ensure a clean, courteous, and professional working environment
  • Provide excellent and compassionate customer care
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new hire DHs


  • An associate and/or Bachelor’s Degree in dental hygiene
  • Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program, with required RDH licensing
  • 2-3 years experience in the field preferred
  • CPR Certificate
  • Excellent communication skills and bedside manner
  • Flexible with full-time work schedule, including weekends
  • Strong aptitude for detail and ability to work independently 
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills 
  • Positive, welcoming, and can-do attitude with customers and other dntl bar employees; ability to influence culture
  • Flexible & adaptable nature to work in a continuously evolving environment
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
