Job Description

We are a growing full scope Oral Surgery practice with two surgeons and four office locations. Our practice is committed to providing life-changing procedures to our patients, while they experience world-class customer service.  We are seeking a highly motivated, kind and friendly treatment coordinator to join our team. As a treatment coordinator, one should be well versed in dealing with various dental and medical insurances and will go above and beyond to help all patients get the most out of their insurance benefits. But most importantly, one should be dedicated to taking the best care of our patients in the way that he or she would like to be treated. The Treatment Coordinator will be expected to travel amongst our four offices.


The Treatment Coordinator has the primary responsibility of establishing a positive relationship with the patient upon check-in and for the duration of time the patient is in treatment to ensure a remarkable patient experience. The treatment coordinator must ensure that all treatment planning, scheduling and information related to appropriate patient management is documented. This person will be responsible for inputting the treatment plan and all of the critical patient information in the computer system. The Treatment Coordinator will provide a high-level of customer service. Communication and strong organizational skills are critical to the success of this position.


Accompany the surgeon in the consultation/examination and take clinical notes

Enter a complete treatment plan with ADA codes and apply insurance benefits

Ensure that all subsequent visits are scheduled

Compose consultation/treatment letters to referring doctors

Manage monthly patient tracking reports

Generate a list of implants and all parts necessary for the case

Obtain patient medical clearance when necessary

Take panoramic x-ray or CBCT scans of patients

Coordinate patient’s appointments when patient has to be referred out to other specialist before treatment can proceed in our office; e.g. endo, perio, etc.

Assist the manager with any administrative duties necessary

Maintain efficient patient scheduling

Work with patients for financing and fee processing

Processing daily deposits and end of day reports

Perform all other duties as assigned


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual must be engaging and have the ability to fulfill the requirements listed below:

Must have a minimum of 1 year in Treatment Coordinating

Ability to be cross-trained and function with multiple responsibilities 

Ability to work in a dynamic environment and maintain a pleasant demeanor

Advanced oral and written communication skills

Basic Dental/medical knowledge

Strong organizational skills

Must be a team player

Must be willing to travel between our 4 office locations, which are between Murrieta, Lake Elsinore, Fallbrook and Bonsall

Flexibility and job-sharing required

Commitment to providing excellent customer service

Professional dress and appearance required

Basic computer skills and knowledge

Xray Licence Preferred

Current CPR/BLS

Work Environment/Physical Demands:This position will be required to meet the demands of and be cross trained in other positions. There is active movement, sitting, computer utilization, telephone usage, may be stressful at times, high performance and task expectations.
