Job Title: Oral Surgery Assistant* Company: HARVARD VANGUARD MEDICAL ASSOC Location: Boston, MA Description: Under the general supervision of the Dental Supervisor, Oral Surgeon and Dental Chief, provides customer service, sterilization, radiology and clinical assistance for oral surgery and general dentistry patients within a fast paced multi-specialty Dental practice. Education: A high school diploma or equivalent plus successful completion of Radiation Health & Safety and Infection Control examinations required. Dental Assistant Certificate, typically received upon graduation from accredited one to two-year dental assisting program, required. Successful completion of the AAOMS Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Anesthesia Assistants program highly desired. Skills and Experience: At least one year work experience as an oral surgery assistant preferred in conjuction with certification. Must be familiar with the operations and terminology of the dentistry specialty as well as the principles of patient confidentiality, infection control and customer service.
