Job Description:
Position Summary:
As Director of Clinical Support you will play a key role in defining Aspen Dental as the premier career choice for dentists. With the guidance of the Vice President of Clinical Support you assist with the development and implementation of programs that help Aspen professionals provide superior patient care, exceptional practice productivity, and outstanding business results. You will participate in programs aimed at professional recruitment, training and development, and clinical operations. You will serve as clinical liaison with ADMI and its affiliated Professional Corporations.
Responsibilities:
Support the development and implementation of programs designed to reinforce and enhance the Aspen Dental Practice model.
Provide in-office and in-region support to Aspen Dental's dentists and practice teams, emphasizing the highest standard of patient care and practice productivity.
Assist with continuing education program development and presentation both at the regional and nation level, including; active participation in regional market development meetings, doctor orientation program presentations and other programs as identified.
Train, mentor, and develop new and experienced Aspen dentists in Aspen Dental's more intensive specialties, including removable prosthetics and associated procedures, soft tissue management, and general dental care for the non-compliant patient base.
Support ongoing recruiting efforts, including interviewing, candidate marketing, on-campus / residency program presentations and other recruitment focused events.
Foster positive relationships with Aspen Dental's affiliated Professional Corporations in the development of appropriate standards of clinical care in support of Aspen Dental's operating business model.
Support the evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of new patient care technologies ensuring an appropriate return on capital investment.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Dental degree and current, active licensure. Willingness to establish licensure in all jurisdictions where Aspen Dental operates as required to perform position responsibilities.
Min. 5 years experience in multi-office or group practice setting with exposure to the a typically non-compliant patient base.
Proven record of progressive practice growth and providing exceptional patient care.
Outstanding verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to relate well to extremely diverse professional and patient populations; ability to comfortably and affectively deliver presentations and training one-on-one and in large group settings.
Strong writing skills; competence with MS office and basic computer programs.
Sound business judgment and understanding of the economic fundamentals of a profitable dental practice, including the ability to read and interpret a practice's financial statements and associated metrics.
