(MD not required.) LICENSURE: Must have a current medical or dental license in California.SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Successful completion of residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial sugery. Must also possess a California medical license, and board certification or board eligibility in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery.ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience and / or training and interest in Orthognathic surgery, surgical and nonsurgical treatment of TMJ problems including arthroscopy and arthrecentesis, facial trauma, cleft care, and odontogenic pathology including maxillofacial reconstruction. Full service Plastic surgery and Head and Neck Surgery departments are available at Oakland.JOB DESCRIPTION: Broad spectrum reconstructive Maxillofacial Surgery opportunity as member of a large multispecialty medical group. Huge patient base providing extensive opportunities to provide treatment for traumatic, pathologic, congenital, functional, and deformational problems of the facial skeleton and soft tissues. Practice includes orthognathic surgery, management of TMJ disorders including surgical management, multidisciplinary cleft palate / craniofacial program, and maxillofacial reconstruction. The medical center has full spectrum Plastic Surgery and Head and Neck Surgery departments, which allow for the cooperative management of even the most difficult maxillofacial problems. The Maxillofacial Surgery Division is part of the Head and Neck Surgery Department.
