Description: The Independent Sales Representative manages all selling activities within a defined geography or group of national accounts, and is responsible for executing a sales / marketing plan which will achieve their assigned revenue goals. The ISR is responsible for assigned lead follow-up, lead generation, customer visits, product presentations, trade show selling, integrating with marketing campaigns, onsite post-delivery training, and on-going customer satisfaction. This position reports directly to the Vice-President Sales.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Attends Trade Shows, Industry meetings, and other events frequented by dentists or dental specialists.
Promotes, Markets, and sells the PerioLase Periodontal Package (PPP) to targeted prospects within their territory.
Conducts Preview Sessions and Product presentations
Conducts after-sale orientation training onsite with the customer (“In-Service”) and performs after-sales service calls for a period of six months following delivery of the PPP.
Develops a sales and marketing plan for their territory, with assistance from the Sales Manager, and performs daily activities consistent with the plan.
Regularly reports forecast information to management and provides accurate records upon request.
Utilizes Sales Force Automation system (Salesforce.com) to accurately track all leads, opportunities, accounts, tasks, sales stages, and sales probability forecasts.
Provides timely After-Action Reports (AAR) for all trade shows, small group presentations and study club meetings with groups of prospects.
Keeps accurate records of all travel and expense items for reimbursement and provides these documents to management in a timely fashion.
EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrates a solid Track Record of Performance and Achievements:
Minimum 4 years direct Sales Experience or comparable industry experience
RDH Certification strongly desired
Dental Office Management Experience a plus
Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
Aggressive and strongly motivated to succeed
Familiar with Sales force automation / CRM systems
Travel 30-50% of time
MDT offers a generous commission-only structure, and pays all reasonable expenses. Target income is $100,000 to $280,000 per year.
